Medical Research
The increased longevity of humans over the past century can be significantly attributed to advances resulting from medical research. Medical research can be divided into two categories. The evaluation of new treatments in clinical trials, and the development of new treatments through preclinical research. As part of Dr. Bolton’s treatment, he participated in clinical trials during the final stages of his illness.
One way we as individuals can assist in the furthering of medical knowledge is through whole body donation:
